Our Top 10 Winter RV Destinations

After looking over all the lists of the places to RV in the winter, we at b.b.begonia have decided the winter might be the best time of the year to travel! If you’re like us the fall and winter brings to mind the holidays, snuggling by the fireplace, quaint skiing towns dusted with the perfect soft sparkling snow all paired with the perfect cup of coffee. Forget RVing to a warmer climate embrace what makes this time of year so beautiful. The top ten places we have chosen to compile all focus on towns that embody these blessings.

Grafton, Vermont looks as if the city walked straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting.  If you are interested in snow shoeing, skiing and ice skating this is the town for you!

Spokane, Wisconsin the allure of this city comes from its unique focus on all things art and culture. Boasting a wine trail of more than two dozen wineries and vineyards.

Ouray, Colorado is one of many beautiful winter towns in Colorado. The pull of this specific town is its adventure vibe. One of the towns’ best pastimes is watching climbers at the Ouray Ice Park.

St. Cloud, Minnesota is a haven for fishermen walleyes, crappies and muskies are said to be in large supply in this little town. It is also said to have a three miles of lighted ski trails! How cool is that?!!

Old Wethersfield, Connecticut if times of old are what you’re looking for look no farther. This little town has a church still operating that George Washington and John Adams attended as well as a bed and breakfast that dates back to 1873!

Churchill, Manitoba where else can you see actual polar bears! This city is known for its polar bears and beluga whales.

Quebec City, Canada The smell of fresh bread and espresso fills the cobblestone streets. You will quickly feel like you are in Europe. This Canadian keeps its unique heritage down to the fortified walls leading into the old city.

Fairbanks, Alaska No list is complete without mentioning Alaska. It is a very far remote location but many say that this is the best place to take in the Northern lights.

Lake Placid, New York ever dream of competing in the Olympics? This is the place to visit then. Having hosted the Olympic Games twice this town caters to those of us who have yet to realize our dreams!

Jackson Hole, Wyoming when you think of winter wonderland what immediately comes to mind? For me it is definitely a sleigh ride! Jackson Hole gives sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge. What a great way to get your holiday season started!
