As those who love exploring our great country, many of us are concerned with how to be green while we are on the road. This blog will cover a few easy things you can do to keep our planet beautiful while traveling.  Many of them seem simple but in practice can have a large impact.

Recycle! Even when on the road. Many of us recycle at home but get in a hurry and forget about it while traveling. Have a designated bag for your recycled needs makes this easier!

When you are traveling try to only stock up or buy foods that are organic or natural. This is not only better for you but can reduce food miles as well.

Save energy by not only making sure to turn off all electronic devices but be aggressive and go solar!

Always use marked RV campsites so as not to damage natural habitats.

Limit your use of waste such as limiting your use of disposable dishes and cups.

Keep campfires small to limit pollution and try to not put anything into the fire that will not burn.

Use one water bottle instead of buying multiple plastic disposable bottles

This is definitely not an exhaustive list of ways to keep your carbon footprint small when traveling. But it is a start to try to get you thinking about the small changes we can make in our daily lives. Do you have any suggestions to add? We’d love to hear them!
